Air Curtains:
Air Conditioned Environment: The air curtain avoids the loss of thermal load saving power supply and increasing durability of the air conditioned equipment.
How the air conditioned works: It was designed to reach a previously defined temperature on which it turns off automatically.
In case in the environment do not have an air curtain, the door must be kept closed.
In case in the environment need to have with door open, and the air conditioned working, it is highly recommended the use of the air curtain. In case the door is kept open and there is no air curtain, the air conditioned will be required to keep working continuously. This will impact on its durability and increase the use of energy. The air curtain function is to build a invisible barrier in order to preserve the thermal load.
Warning: Air Curtains are not recommended to avoid insects. Although it is a common practice in some cases, the lack of specific knowledge about this aspect could cause financial losses and even the loss of Qualified Certifications when it is a legal requirement.
Small Particles:
Where is not possible to have a door, it is advisable to use an air curtain to avoid dust from outside environment. By doing this way, the internal environment will be protected not only from dust but also, for example, from liquid paint, electrostatic powder paint, etc

Where is not possible a door, it is advisable to have an air curtain to protect the internal environment from non-desirable gases such as Carbon Monoxide, Chemical Baths, Welding sectors, contamination from Casting Ovens and vehicle emissions.
Smells:
The air curtain avoids the different types of smell from outside contaminating the internal environment, such as garbage disposals, bathrooms, Industrial kitchen fries, smoking areas, among others.
Cold Chambers:
Without the air curtain the loss of thermal load is huge, causing several financial and technical losses leading the equipment to freezing and/or condensation conditions.
With the utilization of the Air Curtain, the traffic between internal and external environments is allowed without the loss of thermal load, saving energy, and protecting the equipment avoiding it to run continuously causing freezing and condensation issues.
Important:
It is necessary to foresee the installation up to minus 18 Celsius (-18C) . In case even lower temperatures are required, it must be previously informed in order specific dimensioning and other characteristics to be provided.
Air Contamination
The air curtains avoid the contaminated air to get into the environment.
Examples such as automotive painting, truck load and unload devices which normally contains reasonable carbon monoxide concentration could cause health issues to workers.
Insects
The air curtain avoids flying insects such as mosquitoes, flies, bees, among others to get into the ambient.
In order to have the desired efficiency, the door heigh must be previously informed to the proper air curtain dimensioning, provided that this purpose is one of the most critical ones for the product.
External winds
To protect from external winds, where it is not possible a closing door, an air curtain must be fit in order to avoid warm or cold air to get into the internal environment.
Ionized Air (air curtains equipped with ionized bars)
Ionized air curtains eliminates electrostatic load generated by friction between surfaces or manufacturing processes . It takes place, in general , with parts or bobins made with plastic or acrylic materials. It helps reducing from 25.000 V to less than 500 V, avoiding electric shocks in the workers and undesirable adhesion of particles and other parts.
It is normally used in automotive painting companies, plastic packaging and clean rooms.
